Title

CCSD Recommended for SACS CASI Re-accreditation

Body

The Cherokee County School District on Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2011 was recommended for District Re-Accreditation as a Quality School System through the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and the Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (CASI). The recommendation will be considered by the SACS Commission in January. In September 2006, the School District became one of the first school systems in the United States to be awarded District Accreditation as a Quality School System through SACS CASI. District Accreditation is a process in which the District identifies and sustains the implementation of a systemic continuous improvement process and monitors its schools for compliance with all SACS CASI standards. Please see the attached release for more information.
