Cherokee County School District students are continuing to exceed national averages on the Iowa Test of Basic Skills, with average scores increasing for eighth-graders. The School District administered the test to all students in Grades 5 and 8 in October. The School District’s Grade 5 composite score is 69, which is 19 percentile points above the national average, and the School District’s Grade 8 composite score increased by one percentile point to 67, which tops the national average by 17 percentile points.
