SAT, ACT, and COMPASS
In order to apply to a 4 year college/university, students are required to take a college admissions test (ACT or SAT). Colleges accept both the SAT or ACT scores for admissions and do not prefer one test over the other. It is recommended that students take the ACT or SAT for the first time during the Spring of their Junior year and no later than the Fall of their Senior year.
The COMPASS test is designed for students who plan on attending a 2 year or technical college.
Details on all three of these tests are below.
