We are excited to announce the return of your favorite Valentine's Day season activity. You are invited to help us celebrate the beauty of mathematics.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: The registration deadline for the Mathacre has been waived this year. If your team wants to come but hasn't sent in a payment, just email Henry Oglesby your intent on coming and bring your payment when you check in Saturday morning.

9:30 Registration
10:30-11:30 Varisty Test / JV Ciphering
11:30-11:45 Break
11:45-12:45 Varsity Ciphering / JV Test
12:45-1:45 Lunch
1:45-2:15 Awards/Trophies

 

Directions:

From Atlanta area, take I75 North to I575 North
Go 19 miles on I575 to exit 19
Take GA Hwy 20 east (toward Cumming)
Go 7 miles on GA-20 to East Cherokee Dr
Take a right at the light and go 1 mile or so
Take a left onto Owen Store Rd
In another mile or so, you've made it!
School is on the right, parking is available in the front or the left of the school.

Details:
• Teams consist of up to 8 students (you may only bring ONE team in each division)
• Divisions are Varsity (Math III/Advanced Algebra and up) and Junior Varsity (Math II/Geometry and down)

Format:
• 25 question multiple choice written test - no calculator (total 125 pts)
• 10 individual ciphering questions - no calculator (total 100 pts)
• 1 team power question - calculators ARE allowed (total 40 pts)

Scores:
• Individual scores are computed by the sum of the individual's written score and ciphering score
• Team scores are computed by the sum of the top four written scores, the top four ciphering scores, and the power round score.

Food:
• Light refreshments provided
• Lunch break between tournament and awards
