Covers basic concepts of federalism, separation of powers, the founding fathers’ intent, political parties and elections, policy-making processes, civil liberties and civil rights. Applies these principles to current political systems and the interactions between the Presidency, Congress, Judicial branches, and the federal bureaucracy.
