END OF COURSE TEST
 EOCT

The A+ Educational Reform Act of 2000, O.C.G.A. ยง20-2-281, mandates that the State Board of Education adopt end-of-course assessments in grades nine through twelve for core subjects to be determined by the State Board of Education. With educator input, and State Board approval, the End-of-Course Testing program is therefore comprised of the following eight content area assessments:

  • Algebra I, Applied Alg OR  Math I
  • Geometry
  • United States History
  • Economics
  • Biology
  • Physical Science
  • Ninth Grade Lit/Comp
  • American Lit/Comp

  • If you fail a class and pass that EOCT, it is not transferable.

If you retake a class, you MUST retake the EOCT.

If you need to retake any portion of an EOCT, please see your guidance counselor in Student Services, immediately. If you take a class ON LINE (Ex. BYU), it is your responsibility to see your counselor to schedule a test.  Click on "Guidance Staff" on the left for your counselor's email.
