“Hats On Across Cherokee County,” raised more than $6,300 to benefit the Cherokee Family Violence Center’s programs for children. Each student donated $1 for the privilege to wear a hat to school on January 22. Awards for highest participation were presented in the elementary, middle and high school categories. Winners were Free Home ES, E.T. Booth MS, and Cherokee HS.
