 Etowah Remembers 9-11

Most of our students were between pre-K and the 2nd Grade on September 9th, 2001.

To help students understand what occurred 10 years ago on September, 11, 2001, Etowah High School Teachers created this video that was shown to students during TAA (our weekly advisement period) on Wednesday, 9/7/11. The video includes interviews with members of the Etowah community to help students comprehend the enormity of what occurred 10 years ago on what has become known ubiquitously as "9/11".

EHS is building a permanent 9/11 Memorial Wall that will include an original student work reflecting on 9/11, a three dimensional tree of life sculpture, and a memorial garden. The conceptual design for the Memorial Wall can be viewed via this link. Donations made to the Memorial Wall are being accepted through the Etowah Foundation and are a tax-deductible donation! Here is a letter from the Etowah Foundation regarding donations made to this initiative--or any other donation you'd like to make to EHS.

We are selling this shirt to help raise funds for the Memorial Wall. If you would like to purchase a shirt, please see anyone in the Administrative Office. Shirts are only $12 each; the design of the shirt is pictured below:

If you would like to review the PowerPoint presentation we are using with our students, please feel free to download it via this link.
