ONLINE OPTIONS FOR CHEROKEE COUNTY |
IMPORTANT! New Online Course Policy for the 2007 -- 2008 School Year:
Students cannot take a class on-line for initial credit (meaning they have never taken the course before), if the course is offered at Woodstock High School. Only classes for remediation (classes already taken and failed) and courses not offered here will be accepted. Please fill out the approval form below. Failure to turn in a prior approval form will result in any course taken on-line to not be approved for credit in Cherokee County. Please contact your counselor if you have questions.
The schools or programs in the Guidance Links below have been approved by the Cherokee County School District Office of Secondary Curriculum as accredited on-line sites for high school distance education. We do not recommend any of these schools. Our recommendation is for students to recover credits through Polaris Evening School or Cherokee County Summer School. This information is provided simply as a courtesy and because certain procedures regarding final exams and End Of Course Tests must be met. Always make sure that the course you are taking will fulfill the necessary requirements.
You are required, before beginning an on-line course, to print the online course request form and meet with your guidance counselor. When you bring this form, you must also bring the course description from the institution you have chosen from our list. Failure to fill out this form and meet with your counselor will result in the course being denied for credit with Woodstock High School.
