
Mrs. Maria Rosario-Regan was born and raised in the Bronx, New York. She double majored and graduated from Hunter College with a Bachelor’s degree. She continued her education earning a Master’s in Literacy from Lehman College in New York and later attaining an Educational Specialist Degree from Lincoln Memorial University in Tennessee with a concentration in educational leadership.
In 1995 she relocated from the Bronx, New York to Charlotte, North Carolina where she taught 9th grade mathematics at Ranson Middle School. She eventually returned to the Bronx, New York and taught reading at Immaculate Conception parochial school. After three years, she ventured back into public education and taught 4th grade for six years winning teacher of the year during this time.
In 2005, she and her family relocated to Woodstock, Georgia where she joined the staff of Oak Grove Elementary and taught for three years as an EIP teacher. After teaching at Oak Grove Elementary, Maria began teaching EIP and ESOL at Knox Elementary where she also serves as the school’s RTI coordinator and the ASP Assistant Coordinator.
She currently lives in Woodstock with her wonderful husband and two adorable sons.
She is very excited to join the staff at Hasty Elementary as Assistant Principal for the 2012-2013 school year.
