 What is my counselors job?
  • Work with students, parents, and teachers/administrators 
  • Help to identify the needs of children 
  • Encourage better student relationships
  • Provide brief, solution focused individual guidance
  • Promote positive attitudes and good choices
  • Function as a leader in the school
  • Advocate for student success 
  • Coordinate referrals to outside agencies
  • Consult with outside agencies and providers
  • Provide preventive and developmental guidance

    • Parents may refer their child
