REGISTRATION: Only students who are residents of Cherokee County may enroll at Polaris. Proof of residence is required. Students must be at least 16 years old. Applicants must provide an official transcript, withdrawal form, immunization records, copy of birth certificate, social security card, and proof of residency.
Students new to Cherokee County and those coming from Crossroads must provide discipline records from their previous school. Students will not be enrolled if any of the above documentation is not provided before or during the registation period.
All full time students must pay a $10 administrative fee each quarter. Part-time students who also attend day school are assessed an additional $200 fee per course each quarter.
CURRICULUM: A regular high school curriculum is offered and structured to meet the individual needs of each student. One half Carnegie Unit of credit may be earned for the successful completion of each class. Students must earn a total of twenty-two (22) Carnegie Units and achieve passing scores on all applicable parts of the Georgia High School Exit Examination in order to receive a regular high school diploma.
