There is a mandatory meeting for all girls interested in playing soccer this year.  If you plan to try out for the soccer team this year you MUST attend this meeting. The meeting will be on Thursday, September 27^th at 8:00 am in Coach Goodbread’s health room.

Attention DECA members: All spots have been filled for the DECA fall rally field trip. There will be a brief meeting for all students attending the trip on Tuesday, 9/25 at 8 am in Room 1305.

Science Olympiad will have its first meeting Tuesday Sept. 25^th in room 2112 at 3:45.  Please make sure that you have gotten an application and bring it to Mr. Akins by the 25^th. If you are interested in being a part of this year’s team please see Mr. Akins or one of the science teachers for an application.

As the Knight prepare to take on the Northwest Whitfield Bruins we are going to show our spirit this week with a Door Decorating Contest, Car Decorating Contest, and Banner Contest.    Rules and Judging sheets can be located in the counseling office.     Today is the kick off Spirit Week with “Nerd” Day so you should be “geeked” in your best “nerd” wear or a character from the “Big Bang Theory.”    The week will continue with Tuesday being Dress like a Rockstar, Wednesday – Neon Day, Thursday – Superhero Day, and Friday being underclassmen – Blue and Gold and Senior – Toga Day.

Also do not forget that we will have a parade on Friday, Sept. 28 before the game.   Those interested in having a float or being in the parade should pick up a form in the front office.

Homecoming Tickets will go on sale Monday after break.   Tickets will be $10 in Advance and $20 at the Door.    If you are planning on bringing an outside guest you must receive approval.    Guest permission forms are located inside the counseling office.    Your guest will need to have a picture ID on file with the school and be able to show it at the door.     Guest forms are due to Mr. Bennett by Thursday, Sept. 27^th.

Senior formal yearbook pictures are this Thursday!  The photographers will be in room 1103, on the English hallway.  Photos will be taken during your lunch periods and after school until 5:30.   There is no cost to you for this photo to be taken.  Your formal photo will not be available for purchase.  Do not miss out being in the yearbook for River Ridge’s first graduating class!

Any student interested in joining the National History Day competition should meet with Mr. Daniel at 3:45 on Tuesday in room 2105.

Any student who received a letter about mandatory lunch Writing remediation, it begins today in Room 1101.
