     SST

Student Support Team is a team of teachers and support staff that work together to help students who struggle in academic or behavioral areas. Our goal with every child is to help them learn and thrive in the classroom with as little disruption to their schedule as possible. When interventions are necessary we try to help the child strengthen weaknesses in the least restrictive environment. Data is collect to ensure that interventions are helping or to help guide future interventions. If the student continues to need more help, at that point the SST would meet to assist in coming up with new strategies. Parents/guardians are members of the SST and encouraged to attend these meetings. Once a child has been referred to the SST an invitation will always be sent to the parents/guardians. If you have any questions about this process call R. M. Moore and speak to Jon Costales, SST chair for R M Moore at (770) 479-3978.
