Today is the fifth day of school – and, this year, that is an amazing milestone.

As I said when we began the week, we would not have been able to reopen schools in person, simultaneously launch a new Digital Learning program and start the school year on time without your patience, grace, flexibility and support.

CCSD Back-to-School Updates & Reminders: 

The CCSD Back to School Gateway at now is open!  Whether your CCSD student is returning in-person or learning online, we need you to please complete the Gateway “first day forms” as soon as possible.  The Gateway includes updating emergency contacts, confirming transportation plans, signing up for free and reduced price lunch, and much more.  To use the Gateway, you will need your child’s Student ID (the code they use in the cafeteria and to log in to computers) and GTID (the longer code on your child’s report card); if you don’t have these, your child’s school can provide them to you.

The Cherokee County School Board at its regular meeting tonight unanimously approved the Cherokee County School District’s annual budget, which, despite a $25 Million State education funding cut, was balanced without the need for furlough days or a millage rate increase.
