Boston ES celebrates at the most recent induction ceremony for its Junior Beta Club.

Boston Elementary School has been named a 2018-19 National Beta School of Distinction!

This award recognizes schools with Beta or Junior Beta Clubs that are growing and showing outstanding academic achievement, exemplary character, demonstrated leadership and service to others.

“This prestigious honor is a true indication of Boston Elementary’s dedication to academic excellence, leadership development and commitment to celebrating their student’s achievements,” National Beta CEO Bobby Hart said.

Fifth-grade teachers Margaret Tippins and Susan Stringfellow co-sponsor the school’s Junior Beta Club.
“We find it such an honor to receive the award of National Beta School of Distinction,” Ms. Tippins said.  “It speaks volumes of how our school works together to improve academic performance and character development in our students.”

Award recipients receive a recognition banner and will be formally announced at the 2019 National Beta Convention in Oklahoma City this June.  The Cherokee County School Board and Superintendent of Schools will recognize Boston Elementary School at its Jan. 17 Board meeting.
