Student Athletes Celebrate College Scholarship Commitments

CCSD recognized 58 high school student athletes today who had signed scholarship letters of intent to play their sport at the college level.  The Signing Day event at the Northside Hospital Cherokee Conference Center in Canton recognized students who will be playing football, baseball, soccer, lacrosse, softball, basektball, swimming, tumbling, golf and track. 

The event, sponsored by Northside Hospital Cherokee and Senior Series title sponsor Varsity Brands, along with Towne Lake Primary Care, Northside Hospital Sports Medicine and Northside Family Medicine & Urgent Care, is coordinated annually by the School District’s Office of School Operations to recognize student athletes, along with their parents, coaches, athletic directors and principals, for making their college choices for a variety of sports on National Signing Day.

While National Signing Day focuses mainly on football, Cherokee County students were recognized this week for commitments to compete in a variety of sports. Photos of all the athletes signing today will be available on the CCSD Facebook page. Group photos by school are below the list of athletes.
