Cherokee County School District middle school educators hit a home run for learning on Friday at SunTrust Park!

The group of 28 teachers and seven administrators participated in the Atlanta Braves Science of Baseball Workshop, part of the Braves’ positive partnership with CCSD.

The Science of Baseball lessons, which were piloted in select CCSD classes last school year, will be used for all CCSD seventh-graders this spring.  The integrated STEM curriculum translates the exciting game of baseball into an appreciation, understanding, and passion for the science and mathematics underlying the sport.

“Our teachers are very excited to share this curriculum with students!” said Dr. Erin Jacobs of CCSD’s Office of Curriculum & Instruction, who is overseeing the project.
