The Cherokee County School District will offer summer school learning opportunities from June 5-23 for high school students including rising ninth-graders.

In addition to offering a wide selection of courses for students who need to retake classes not passed during the regular school year, Personal Fitness and Health courses will be offered for initial high school credit.  Registration begins April 24 and is due by May 26. 

Credit Recovery: Credit recovery classes led by certified teachers will be offered at all CCSD high school campuses.  Students may take up to two classes, with classes offered from 8 a.m. to noon and 12:30 to 4:30 p.m.  There is no registration fee, but students may be assessed a fee at a later date if they do not complete the course.

Initial Credit for Personal Fitness and Health: Rising ninth-graders may elect to take a half unit of Personal Fitness, a half unit of Health or both classes.  Each class is for four hours daily (Personal Fitness, 8 a.m. to noon; Health, 12:30 to 4:30 p.m.), and will be offered at all CCSD high school campuses.  The cost is $200 per class, and payment is due by May 26.

Attendance is mandatory for students who register for summer school; an absence will lead to being dropped from the class.  No transportation is provided for either program.
