We are all very excited for the rare phenomenon of a total eclipse of the sun spanning from the west coast to the east coast. The last such coast-to-coast eclipse happened in 1918! This is a once in a lifetime occurence!
Rest assured, Boston is ready to celebrate this rare eclipse. Boston's Plan for the Eclipse Teachers are busy preparing for ways to explain what is happening and activities to celebrate it.
There are many websites and apps available to learn more or interact with information about the eclipse. Here's an excellent one from NASA
Here is an An Observer's Guide to the Eclipse Provided by the National Teachers of Science Association
Let's all have fun with this!
