Mrs. Moore Announced as Boston Teacher of the Year

Posted On: Friday, August 3, 2018

I am a proud wife and mom to three boys.  It makes my heart happy that Carson, Gabe, and Carter come to work with me everyday here at Boston elementary.  My students have been part of my life for 15 years.  I began teaching with a middle grades degree from the University of Georgia, as a science teacher in Marietta City schools.  After coming closer to home in 2005, I transferred to a Cherokee County elementary school.  I taught 7 years there, in upper grades elementary.  While my boys were young, I also had the pleasure of teaching online and realized even more that my passion was for traditional school and seeing my students' sweet faces, learning about their life, and giving a quick hug or high five in the hallway.  This will be my 4th year back in Cherokee County at Boston Elementary.  My family and I are so lucky to be a part of this community.  I am humbled to be recognized with this honor, and am looking forward to this upcoming school year with old and new students.  They inspire me daily!
