1. Be true to yourself

2. Keep good company

3. Be confident

4. Do what’s right

5. Be honest

6. Keep your word

7. Be loyal

8. Accept personal responsibility

9. Make a difference

Drum roll….the first Family STEM Home Challenge of the year has been declared!  How can you design and create a pumpkin to look like your favorite folktale book character? What is a folktale, you ask?  It can be a story that is a fairytale, myth, or fable. (https://tinyurl.com/yffj5vm).  Students who participate must complete the attached form to have their name entered in a drawing for a pizza party in the Science Discovery Lab.  Submissions are due Tuesday, October 22, with judging taking place Friday, October 25 at the Fall Festival.  As you follow the engineering design loop remember to have fun and be creative!   If you have questions email karen.garland@cherokeek12.net.

Got Plastic Grocery Sacks?  Our annual Recycled Plastic Bag competition is in full swing.   We are partnering up with Waste Management and collecting plastic grocery bags.  Over the next three weeks, send in all your plastic grocery bags to your child’s homeroom teacher.  On October 29th, we will do a final homeroom count.  Waste Management is providing a prize for the homeroom and school that has collected the most bags.  Let’s do our part and help keep our community recycle!

CALLING ALL VETERANS!  The Tadewi tribe will be presenting a program in honor of Veterans Day in November.  Our program is scheduled for Monday, November 11th at 8:00 a.m. We would like to honor the veterans in our Clark Creek family at our program.  All veterans are invited to attend.  If you have a veteran in your family that you would like honored during a special slide show presentation, please send in a picture along with a name, dates, and branch of service, and relation at Clark Creek (i.e. granddaughter---Sara Student, Kindergarten.).  Please send all responses to our music teacher, Kimberly.knuchel@cherokeek12.net.  Please title the subject: Veteran Picture.   Thank you for your service!

The school’s front office closes at 3:00PM.  If you are arriving at school for a teacher conference after this time,  please enter through the ASP entrance at the back of the school to avoid any delays to your scheduled meeting time.
