Twenty-three Cherokee County School District students placed in the 2018-19 Georgia PTA Reflections fine arts contest!

The annual PTA Reflections contest gives students in all grades and abilities the opportunity to create original works of art in the categories of dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography and visual arts for the opportunity to earn recognition at the School, County, State and National levels. 

The Cherokee County Council of PTA sponsors the annual fine arts competition for all CCSD students.  The competition begins at the school level, with each school’s top winners progressing to the CCSD competition.  

Last year’s theme was “Heroes Around Me,” and CCSD students in prekindergarten through 12th grade submitted entries in the six categories.  Awards were given to first-, second- and third-place winners at a County-level ceremony.  The first- and second-place winners in each grade and each category, as well as Special Artists, advanced to the State competition.  

Here are this year’s State winners from CCSD, who will be recognized by the Cherokee County School Board and Superintendent of Schools at the Board’s August meeting (the grade and school noted is from last school year when they created their winning entries):
