Title I is a federally funded program.  Federal funds are provided through the Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE) to local educational agencies (LEAs) and designated towards improving the academic achievement of disadvantaged at-risk students, in order to ensure they meet and/or exceed challenging state academic standards. Title I funds are used to provide enhanced learning opportunities to these students and improve communication among all stakeholders.
