CCSD recognized 32 additional high school student athletes Wednesday who had signed scholarship letters of intent to play their sport at the college level.  The Signing Day event at the Northside Hospital Cherokee Conference Center in Canton recognized students who will be playing football, baseball, softball, soccer, lacrosse, softball, basketball,  volleyball, band and track-- as well as the district's first scholarship for bass fishing. 

The event, sponsored by Northside Hospital Cherokee and Senior Series title sponsor Varsity Brands, along with Towne Lake Primary Care, Northside Hospital Sports Medicine and Northside Family Medicine & Urgent Care, is coordinated annually by the School District’s Office of School Operations to recognize student athletes, along with their parents, coaches, athletic directors and principals, for making their college choices for a variety of sports.  The district recognized 58 athletes at a signing event in February.
