Happy Friday, Etowah Eagles!

 

 

  • All girls interested in trying out for lacrosse must attend a meeting at 3:30 PM on Tuesday, December 10 in Coach Osborn's room, 6108.

 

  • Poetry Out Loud school competition is coming up in January. All those who intend to participate need to register with Dr. Gardner in Etowah East 214 by the end of the day, December 13th.

 

  • We are still in need of community/parent volunteers to judge Senior Project 2019.  We have changed things up a bit this year and will be doing these during the school day.  Please use the Sign Up Genius link below if you are able to help. Thank you in advance, we couldn’t do this without help from our amazing Eagle Mountain Community.

 

 

  • Join Mrs. Yunker and Mrs. Mason on an international trip the summer of 2021!  3 professional photography lessons!

 

Embark on a creative journey to immerse yourself in new cultures, ancient        ruins and professional discovery.  Our goal is to share our love of photography and videography and to teach you how to most creatively capture the world around you.  Increase your career marketability by adding international travel photography to your portfolio skill set.   

 

We will explore:  Rome, Sienna, Bologna and Cinque Terra in Italy.  In Greece:  Athens, Nafplion and the island of Hydra.

  • Any girls who could not attend the interest meeting for girls soccer, please see Coach Alexander in the New Gym for important information

 

  • Track and Field: Conditioning for track season will begin Dec 2nd, directly after school. It will run Mon-Thur from 3:45-5:15pm every week through the end of the semester and resume again following the start of 2nd semester on Jan 7th. Any students interested in participating need to see Coach Hurlbert or Coach Minnifield. Official season begins on Jan 13th. Students must have a current physical submitted to the athletic office to participate.

 

  • The Fellowship of Christian Athletes

meets every Friday in the auditorium at 7:30am.  All students are welcome for this time of music, encouragement, and fellowship.

 

  • Order your Yearbook now while they are still just $85.. After January 17th they will be $90. They can be purchased online at https://www.yearbookordercenter.com with access code 2061.

 

 

 

  • Science Olympiad meets the 1st and 3rd Thursday of every month. There are still a few spots available if anyone is interested in their quest for GOLD. Please contact either Paul Peterson  or Jennifer Corbett for more details.

 

  • The Etowah Young Republicans Club meets every other Thursday after school in room 1207 until 4:00. We do discussions, debates, Kahoot games, educational information, service, and other awesome things to help students become ambassadors for the conservative movement in the community.
