The Cherokee County School District celebrated its future educators this week!

High schools across the country held “signing day” events as part of National Teacher Appreciation Week to honor graduating seniors who plan to pursue careers in education.  Cherokee, Creekview, Etowah, Sequoyah and Woodstock High School all hosted events.

“We’re so proud of these students for choosing to pursue careers as educators and teach the next generation – thank you and congratulations,” Superintendent of Schools Dr. Brian V. Hightower said.  “It’s incredibly encouraging to see young people who want to serve their community in this important way.  We hope to see them back in our classrooms as future #CCSDfam teachers!”
