Cape Day, the fifth annual Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta tradition, will return Oct. 19, and the pediatric hospital system is encouraging kids and adults alike to wear capes on that day.
Since 2014, Cape Day has been a special way for the community to join together to honor and celebrate the superhero patients battling illnesses and injuries at Children’s. Its patients are fighting obstacles every day, challenges most individuals could never dream of. Their capes represent courage, perseverance and hope.
We all know someone we can wear a cape for—a superhero in our community, at our school or in our church. Children’s is encouraging its patients and employees, schools, organizations and communities around Georgia to wear capes Oct. 19 for Cape Day 2018.
