CCSD Announces High School 2022 Summer School Options

CCSD High School 2022 Summer School will be offered from June 6 - 24, 2022 with options for Credit Recovery and Initial Credit as detailed below.  

Credit Recovery      

  • In person Math Credit Recovery at Cherokee and Woodstock HS Campuses
    • Semester A: 8 a.m. - Noon 
    • Semester B: 12:30 - 4:30 p.m.
  • Fully Digital Credit Recovery (English Language Arts, Science, Social Studies)
    • In person content teacher support (10 a.m. - 2 p.m.) at Cherokee and Woodstock HS Campuses
    • Virtual content teacher support (8 a.m. - 8 p.m.)
  • Students may register for a maximum of 2 courses
  • Registration will begin on April 25 via the link: 2022 Summer School Registration (The form is closed until April 25) 
  • No registration fee

Initial Credit for Personal Fitness and Health    

Cherokee County School District will offer an opportunity for rising ninth graders to take Personal Fitness (in person; 8 a.m. - Noon) and Health (12:30 - 4:30 p.m.) at two locations:  Cherokee HS (for Cherokee, Creekview and Sequoyah students) and Woodstock HS (for Etowah, River Ridge and Woodstock students).  Cost of each course will be $200.  Registration will begin on April 25 via the link 2022 Summer School Registration (The form is closed until April 25).  More information is available online here in English and here in Spanish.

 

Offered at Mountain Education Charter High School - Cherokee Site (Etowah East Campus)

  • Credit Recovery: $50 per course
  • Initial Credit: $75 per course
  • Term Dates: May 31- July 28
  • “Summer Only” MECHS enrollments must attend in person
  • MECHS Summer Hours are from 4 to 8 p.m.
