The Cherokee County School District will host its annual job fair on March 2 for hiring new teachers, bus drivers, school nurses and school nutrition workers!
The fair is from 9 a.m. to noon at River Ridge High School in Woodstock, and offers job candidates the opportunity to meet CCSD and school leaders. Candidates not only will have the opportunity to introduce themselves, but also the chance to ask questions.
“Our teachers and support staff are the primary reason our school district is one of the best in Georgia, and we’re looking for another several hundred dedicated and caring educators and support staff to join our CCSD family,” Superintendent of Schools Dr. Brian V. Hightower said. “CCSD truly is an outstanding place to work, with competitive compensation, professional development and advancement opportunities, an incredibly important mission and a positive culture. We hope you’ll join us.”
While the specific number of openings is still to be determined by retirements and enrollment growth forecasts, CCSD does anticipate several hundred openings for teachers, and several dozen openings for school bus drivers and school nutrition workers.
