Sixteen Cherokee County School District students placed at this year’s statewide Georgia Student Technology Competition, with five earning the top honor!
The annual program offers 16 categories of competition for students in Grades 3-12. At the regional competition, 53 CCSD students placed first and advanced to the State event. The State competition, usually held in person at Kennesaw State University, was instead held virtually this spring.
“Congratulations to our State winners – we’re proud of you and all your work that led to this impressive accomplishment,” Superintendent of Schools Dr. Brian V. Hightower said. “We also greatly appreciate the teachers who support their students’ participation, and our CCSD technology staff who volunteer to make the competition possible. Technology education opens a new world of learning and exciting career opportunities for our students. I can’t wait to see what these talented and creative students dream up next!”
