Melinda Roulier, Principal
Mrs. Roulier is an Alabama native, but began her teaching career in Cherokee County 19 years ago at Boston Elementary. In her 11 years at Boston, she taught First Grade, Second Grade, EIP and was an Academic Coach. She then served one year as an Academic Coach at Oak Grove Elementary in their inaugural year as a Fine Arts Academy. The following year she was appointed to serve as an Assistant Principal at Clark Creek Elementary STEM Academy. After four years as an AP at Clark Creek, she she was appointed to serve as Principal of Mountain Road Elementary for the school year 2017-2018. Mrs. Roulier has a Bachelor of Social Work degree from the University of Alabama...Roll Tide!, a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education degree from LaGrange College, a Master of ECE degree from Piedmont College, and a Specialist in Educational Leadership degree from Kennesaw State University.
When not at work, Mrs. Roulier enjoys spending time with her husband, Dave, and their three boys, Ethan & Brady (twins) and Griffin. They spend most of their free time outdoors at sporting events, on the lake, or in the mountains.
She is looking forward to another amazing year on the Cougar Mountain!
Lori Etheridge, Assistant Principal
Mrs. Etheridge is a native of North Carolina. She attended Appalachian State University and completed her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Mrs. Etheridge has enjoyed a wide variety of teaching experiences at several grade levels in both general and special education. Most recently, she served as the Lead Special Education Teacher at Liberty Elementary. Since moving to Georgia, she has earned her Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Piedmont College and her Educational Specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Lincoln Memorial University, and most recently Mrs. Etheridge completed her Specialist in Educational Leadership from Berry College. She is excited to continue her leadership role at Mountain Road Elementary team this year as the Assistant Principal.
When not at work, Mrs. Etheridge enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She and her husband have a son and a daughter. She loves to travel, work in her yard, bake sweets, and listen to music. Mrs. Etheridge looks forward to another exciting year as a Mountain Road Cougar!
