Announcements for December 2nd 

Congrats to the Swim Team for competing in Calhoun last night. The girls took 1st  place, the boys took 2nd, and several swimmers beat their personal records. Additionally, the following swimmers earned state-cut times: Emma, Maja, Macie, Sofia, Nicole, Laura, JC, Kevin, Cole, Doyle, and Diego. Great job, swimmers!!

Today is the last day to bring in youth socks and underwear to benefit Cherokee County DFCS.

Cleaning out your closets?? Must Ministries is in need of jackets and warm blankets. Please drop off any gently used donations to room 1312.

PTSA is hosting a food drive to help stock the RRHS Food Pantry, find the donation bins up in the front lobby or outside of room 1312.

The Diversity Awareness Program is hosting the annual International Dinner on December 7th, at 6 pm.  This free event allows us all to share in community through food, with every guest bringing friends and a dish from their family or culture.  Sign up using the QR codes around the school, or see Ms. Nelson in room 1112.

Students! Come support the Girls Basketball team on Saturday morning in the cafeteria by having pancakes with Santa! Breakfast will be served from 8:45 until 10:30, $5 cash only, at the door!

“Serving Others 1 Plate at a Time” Family, Friends, and Food – The holidays are a perfect time to share a meal with others. HOSA, Future Healthcare Professionals, in partnership with the RRHS Armory Food Bank is hosting a food drive. We are challenging YOU to help us provide a meal to families within our Community this holiday season!

Select 1 item from each food category to create a meal for a family in need. 1 meal = 2 service hours earned (No partial credit) Meal items can be found on flyers around the school or see Mrs. Davis in Room 1303. Food Donation items can be dropped off in Room 1303 from 7:45-8:10 am every morning until Dec. 16th

The SALT organization will be having a half court shot contest during halftime of the girls and boys basketball games Friday night.  For $1 you can attempt and possibly win a $25 gift card to Buffalo’s Southwest Grill. All proceeds go to our “Do Good December” project helping families in our cluster with Christmas gifts. Attempts can be purchased at the game or during lunches today and tomorrow. Cash or electronic payment is welcome.

River Ridge FCA is holding a youth socks and underwear drive to benefit Cherokee County DFCS through Friday. Please bring PACKAGED socks and underwear, sizes 2T through Youth Extra Large to place in any of the donation bins at the student entrances.

Any boys or girls interested in playing golf this season need to attend an informational meeting on Friday in room 1208 at 7:50AM.

Lookout for the DECA Elf on the Shelf in the next couple of weeks around the school. Today’s clue is: Jingle bells jingle bells DECA club rocks! Find me where the elves go to make sure that the food pantry is stocked! If you see him around take a picture and DM it to the DECA instagram @theridge_deca to win cool prizes.
