The Cherokee County School District congratulates the winners of the 2022 CCSD Reading Bowl!
The annual event, which was held at E.T. Booth Middle School, is a timed competition designed by the Office of Curriculum & Instruction to encourage reading, develop reading comprehension skills and offer a fun extra-curricular academic opportunity.
Open to students in grades 4-12, the competition includes two divisions, elementary and middle school, and features questions from books selected by a CCSD committee of educators. High school reading bowl teams have the opportunity to compete at the annual statewide TOME Student Literacy Society reading bowl.
Clark Creek Elementary School STEM Academy earned first place in the elementary school competition, with Indian Knoll Elementary School placing second and Carmel Elementary School winning third place. E.T. Booth Middle School won first place in the middle school division, with Creekland Middle School earning second and Teasley Middle School placing third.
