All six Cherokee County School District high schools have been named to U.S. News and World Report’s “Best High Schools” list!
The magazine’s prestigious list is based on factors including academic performance, college readiness, graduation rates and success of disadvantaged students.
The six high schools are led in the rankings by Etowah High School, which placed at 1,995 out of all high schools nationwide. Five of CCSD’s high schools – Creekview, Etowah, River Ridge, Sequoyah and Woodstock – also ranked in the Top 100 in Georgia of the more than 400 high schools statewide!
“Today is National Teacher Appreciation Day, so it’s especially fitting to be celebrating this outstanding news that reflects the hard work of our students and teachers,” Superintendent of Schools Dr. Brian V. Hightower said. “We also greatly appreciate the support of our students’ families and our community partners, which makes achievements like this possible.”
