The Superintendent of Schools will make an announcement by Jan. 31 as to whether classes will be held during the last three days of February Break.

As you know, schools are scheduled to be closed on Monday, Feb. 18, and Tuesday, Feb. 19 for student holidays.  The CCSD school calendar designates Wednesday, Feb. 20, through Friday, Feb. 22, as possible school holidays or inclement weather make-up days.

We have been fortunate so far this school year to not have needed to cancel any full school days due to inclement weather.  While inclement weather could occur between Jan. 31 and Feb. 20, the Superintendent’s decision timeline will give families two weeks’ notice to make plans accordingly.  The announcement will be sent to all parents via email and text using our School Messenger notification system and posted on our CCSD and school websites.

CCSD’s teachers and leaders are busy preparing to begin Digital Learning Days next school year, and you may already have assisted your child in completing an online drill of the system.  Once this system is fully tested and in place, Digital Learning Days will end the need for potential inclement weather make-up days.
