Seventeen Cherokee County School District students have earned Region and State honors for achievements in career skills competitions.
All CCSD high schools offer Career, Technical and Agricultural Education (CTAE) programs and Career Pathway classes as well as aligned Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs). The CTSOs give students the opportunity to participate in career-oriented extra-curricular activities including community service, leadership roles and demonstrating at statewide competitions the skills they’ve learned in class.
“We’re very proud of these students for dedicating themselves to not only earn impressive honors, but also to prepare for future career success,” Superintendent of Schools Dr. Brian V. Hightower said. “Congratulations also to our CTAE teachers who support these students both in the classroom and through our CTSOs – we appreciate all that you do to ready our students for careers in skilled professions.”
