Dual Enrollment Information Sessions Set for November 7 and 11

Posted On: Monday, October 28, 2019

ROAD TO GRADUATIONS

Explore the option of Dual Enrollment!  The Cherokee County School District invites students and parents who are interested in learning more about Dual Enrollment to our annual information nights coming up November 7 and 11.  Georgia’s Dual Enrollment program allows students in grades 9-12 to earn high school and college credit simultaneously. Students do not pay for tuition, fees or books-- they are only responsible for course-related fees and transportation.

Two information sessions are scheduled (each session will share the same information, parents and students can attend either one).

  • November 7 in the Etowah High School Auditorium (6565 Putnam Ford Road, Woodstock, GA 30189) from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
  • November 11 in the Sequoyah High School Auditorium (4485 Hickory Road,  Canton, GA 30115) from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Details about the program can be found at https://www.cherokeek12.net/Content2/divisions-curriculum-mowr as well as the State DOE site at https://www.gadoe.org/Curriculum-Instruction-and-Assessment/CTAE/Pages/Transition-Career-Partnerships.aspx

Note:  Students who plan to participate in Dual Enrollment for the 2020-21 school year should be prepared to meet application deadlines in the early spring, as college admission deadlines vary.
