Additional data released this week by the Georgia Department of Education shows CCSD's Class of 2019 scored among the highest in the state on the SAT. The total average score of 1115 ranked eighth out of 180 school districts in Georgia, and second among Metro Atlanta counties (the 10-county Atlanta Regional Commission area).
All six CCSD high schools posted average scores that ranked in the top 15% of the 478 high schools in Georgia, and the gap between all six CCSD schools was 3%, or about 35 points. This indicates consistency in excellence at all our high schools.
The top colleges CCSD students chose to send score reports to include Kennesaw State University, University of Georgia and University of North Georgia. The top majors being considered by CCSD test takers included healthcare professions, business and engineering. More data can be viewed on this infographic.
