Nine Cherokee County School District Class of 2020 graduates have earned scholarships from a local business association!

The Towne Lake Business Association this month awarded $500 scholarships to three students from each of the high schools in its membership area.  From Etowah, River Ridge and Woodstock High Schools, students were honored for success in one of three areas: Entrepreneurial, Leadership and Work Based Learning.  The Association presents the scholarships annually with proceeds from its golf tournament and other fundraising.

“Congratulations to these outstanding graduates – we are all wishing you the best as you pursue you future careers,” Superintendent of Schools Dr. Brian V. Hightower said.  “We greatly appreciate the Towne Lake Business Association and its scholarship donors for their support.  Thank you also to our high school Work Based Learning and CTAE teachers, who teach and guide our business-focused students as they begin their career paths.”
