Want to learn more about the Cherokee County School District and how you can better support your child's education? CCSD's VILLA parent academy program is the answer!

CCSD is accepting applications through Sept. 6 for its third annual VILLA program that provides parents with a behind-the-scenes look at their School District.

You can choose to apply for the morning group or the evening group; each will have 18 participants. The morning group meets 9 to 11 a.m., and the evening group meets 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., on Oct. 7, 21, 28 and Nov. 4, in Canton. The two groups come together for a field trip to three schools and lunch from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 11; and for a final session and dinner from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Nov. 21, with graduation at the 7 p.m. School Board meeting.
