CCSD School Board members and senior staff toured the new classroom addition at Woodstock Middle School as well as the new auxiliary gymnasium at Woodstock High School Oct. 22 to see the School District's latest Ed SPLOST funded projects.

The addition to Woodstock MS contains 22 classrooms and has increased capacity at the school from 950 students to 1325 and eliminated the need for portable classrooms.  The addition of a second gym at Woodstock HS adds more space for PE classes and expands scheduling flexibility for indoor sports such as volleyball, competition cheer, basketball and wrestling, both for games and practices.  The new gym will feature two courts side by side as well as bathrooms and locker room facilities that can be accessed for other sports, as the gym sits between baseball and softball fields on the campus.

The two projects cost a total of $9.8 Million (funded by Ed SPLOST) and qualified for almost $2 Million in state reimbursements.
